In 1946, a mountaineer fresh out of the 10th Mountain Division from WWII named Gerry Cunningham made it his mission to build the gear he always wished for. GERRY started a small mail-order company in Ward, Colorado. He created & sewed the first ever zippered backpacks himself, wrote outdoor lifestyle instruction guides & booklets, built a tent that went to Everest, & invented the cord-lock now found on gear & clothing worldwide. Throughout the years the brand has built off of this sense of innovation & standard for quality.
2026 is the 80th anniversary of GERRY. What's coming back is even bigger; a proper archive of the catalogs, booklets & photographs we've been keeping since the beginning, and a brand that finally looks like its own history.
